We are a direct care clinic. what is Direct Care?
In short, in direct care, we do not accept health insurance and instead have transparent pricing for our services.
We pride ourselves in connecting with our patients and taking the time to get to know them, their lifestyle, and their skin and hair health needs. The modern practice of medicine has steered ways away from this approach, largely due to insurance companies dictating care and corporate interests focused on optimizing profits. The result is substandard care many of us are familiar with: Months and months to see a specialist, an hour in the waiting room, 15 minutes spent filling out forms, and then 5-10 minutes of facetime with the actual physician (and oftentimes not a physician, possibly a PA or NP). Patients are frustrated, and believe us when we say, your physicians are too.
The direct care model prioritizes the direct relationship between physician and patient by removing insurance from the picture. By choosing not to work with insurance, we have the flexibility to spend much more time with patients and use the best tools at our disposal to take care of them.
